The First Apparel Cluster

Cotton of the Carolinas

Cotton of the Carolinas was started in 2008 at TS Designs. To increase the transparency of their apparel manufacturing, Eric Henry, CEO, decided to source cotton directly from the farmer. The supply chain happens in 768 miles compared to a typical t-shirt that travels 13,000 miles or more. This t-shirt’s supply chain can be tracked through whereyourclothing.com from the farmer, to the ginner, to TS Designs.

Know Your Clothing aims to increase the number of geographical manufacturing clusters worldwide. By manufacturing apparel locally, we increase the number of jobs, support local farmers, and decrease transportation emissions.
